Ryan P. Miyamoto was born on the island of Oahu. During his childhood, he found a overwhelming passion in the beauty of the water and the exotic land around him. At the age of eight, Ryan received his first Sony Handy Cam and was able to document his life as he and his father traveled the world on surf trips to countries such as Mexico, Philippines, Japan, Samoa, and El Salvador. His love for traveling and documenting the many unique charactersics of every country, help to develope a organic eye for the camera.

Ryan further developed his skills in filmmaking in the San Diego State Theatre, Television, Film, and New Media, which helped to scuplt his eye for lighting and composition in the most organic and natural way.
